Whether you're a complete novice or have some basic knowledge, this class is designed to help you grow and succeed in your sewing journey.
In this 4 week course you will learn the following:
Machine Setup: Learn how to set up your sewing machine like a pro. We'll cover everything from threading the needle to adjusting tension settings, ensuring you gain confidence in handling your machine.
Machine Settings: Get a comprehensive walkthrough of your machine's settings. Whether you bring your own machine or use one of ours, you'll become familiar with the essential functions needed for various sewing projects.
Eco-Friendly Sewing: Embrace sustainability by using reused materials. Our projects align with eco-friendly values, teaching you how to repurpose and create beautiful items while minimising waste.
The 4 lessons will be as follows:
First lesson:
Getting to know the sewing machine and practicing straight stitches.
Second lesson:
Learning to create a patchwork block using straight stitches and topstitching.
Third lesson:
Completing the patchwork block and starting to sew a tote bag or small items such as pouches using the finished block.
Fourth lesson:
Finishing the bag or pouch, ready to take home.
